"Through Glass" by dragonchic:
(Best Video, Best Editing, Best Mood, Best Relationship, Best Other)

This video is flippin' fantastic! It's one of the few vids that I would categorize as being essentially flawless. From the very beginning, it just grabs you and doesn't let go. The parallels you draw between the lives of Peter Parker and Clark Kent are amazing. You've done a great job matching up visually and thematically similar scenes from both sources that help pull the entire vid together and make it a very moving study of the relationships between Peter and Mary-Jane and Clark and Lois. The motion is incredible, every clip flowing smoothly into the next as the intensity of the visuals builds along with the music. I love the clips you chose for every repetition of the "through the glass" lyric, windows, glasses, camera lenses. Awesome! Loved the shot of Clark through the glasses followed by the shot of Peter taking his glasses off at 0:10. The shot of Superman opening up his eyes at 1:01 as the music goes momentarily quiet is gorgeous. I love the part at 1:30 as the drums kick in while Mary-Jane thinks back to the upside-down kiss. It's at this part in the vid where I get goosebumps that don't go away until the end. I'm actually finding it somewhat difficult to type up this review using specific examples of awesomeness because I keep becoming so engrossed in the atmosphere of the video I forget to look for timestamps. Love the shot at 2:19 as Lois tentatively puts her hand on Superman's arm. My favorite section is from 2:28 to 2:45 with the quick cut parallel scenes. It takes my breath away every time. The joyful look on Mary-Jane's face at 2:56 was a perfect choice as the singer's voice intensifies during the final chorus. I also loved the final shot of Spider-Man that seamlessly transitions into the clip of Superman. So cool! I really like your use of black fades throughout the vid, it's such a simple technique but it adds so much to the overall mood of the video. I love this vid more and more every time I watch it. I honestly can't say enough good things about it!

"Steady As She Goes" by obsessive24:
(Best Video RU, Best Use of Music, Best Character, Best Comedy, Best Effects RU)

This is one of my favorite videos ever. I adore Ugly Betty and I adore Marc, and this vid makes me love him even more. The use of little moments of physical comedy and general spazziness paired up with the guitar riffs are just so hilarious (there are so many of them, but the ones at 0:21, 0:24, 0:33, 0:47, 1:04, and 1:13 are particularly awesome). I love how the visuals pair up perfectly with every little nuance of the instrumentals. The snapshot motif was very effective. The intercut scenes of Marc hiding behind the Christmas tree and the cat in the carrier are so brilliant! Marc is the cat! Loved the thought bubbles at 1:16. Even though I absolutely feel this video counts as a comedy vid, I really loved the darker turn it took towards the end. I think it was a good choice to show Marc's confrontation with his mother to get a complete picture of his character, because yeah, he's goofy and funny, but he's a person, he's not only there to be comic relief. The mood shift, though abrupt (much like it was on the show), felt very organic to me, especially paired with the sudden shift in the tone of the song. I really loved the use of snapshots during the final part of the vid to make the ending visually distinct from the fun and lightness at the beginning. This is just such a great video, I love it to bits!

"Devil's Paintbrush Road" by Rusalka Blue:
(Judge's Choice, Best Use of Music RU)

Great Dean character study and just an all around awesome and engaging video. I'm always impressed when I see a really good Supernatural vid to a song with a female vocalist. I find, a lot of the time, that people who use songs like that wind up with a vid where the visuals seem bit disconnected from the vocals. But that's definitely not the case here. In fact, I find the different feel of this particular song, both musically and vocally, sets your video apart from a lot of similarly themed videos. There are a lot of very interesting musical moments in the song and you match the clips to them extremely well. I like the pairing of the dramatic overhead zoom shot at 0:14 with the thump and chain rattle in the song. The clips of little Dean and Sam over the lyric "things attached with glue" are a perfect choice. I like the slight slow down of the clip at 0:34. I really like the look of the cuts and the quick fades you used throughout the video to keep things visually interesting while still allowing you to retain focus on the same scene long enough for it to have the maximum emotional impact. I especially liked the shot of poor broken Dean at around 0:38, and the shot of him handing the gun to Sammy at 0:53. I like the visual similarities between the clips at 0:59 and 1:00. The dual image of Dean at 1:46 looks so cool, as does the following shot of the car driving along with the cymbal crash. The section from 1:51 to 1:58 is beautiful. Love the wide shot of the Impala at 2:03 along with the lyric "I'll marry myself to the whole wide world". The clip at 2:17 goes so well with the little banjo riff. Overall, I love how you kept a tight focus on Dean's deal with the crossroads demon and the reasons behind him making the deal in the first place. I also really liked how you took things a bit further at the end to speculate how the boys might get Dean out of having to surrender his soul after a year has passed. You did a really great job on this video!
